Only because the one I scanned was larger. MT will keep larger scans over smaller ones as long as the quality is there. I scan at 600dpi, 24bit color, unsharpen filter on high, descreenimg filter on 175lpi, plus I use histogram and tone correction on my scans. My scans come out as large as 5000x6000 pixels (approximate size). Depending on the size of the picture I am scanning. If this helps you to create larger and better scans I will be happy. Please feel free to ask me any questions that you may have on scanning, I will try to help.

Like I said in there, if you re-upload them at higher quality, they'd look a lot better. Then there's less chance of them being deleted again. Hope that helps. Ciao!
